June 6th

Hello Everyone, this is Shelly again,

The first thing I would like to say is that I am sorry to any of you who have read the comment today from an anonymous person, who stated incorrect information concerning the events of Lacey's accident. Lacey was wearing her seatbelt and she has physical damage on her neck caused by the seatbelt.

That being said, this is Lacey's blog and I will continue with info on Lacey. We have had ups and downs lately due to pain in Lacey's tailbone, however, she is making good progress in her physical therapy despite the pain. She really wants to exceed expectations of everyone so she can go home. Her therapists and doctors at RIO are very impressed with her progress.

I will write again tomorrow.

Thank you everyone. Bless you all.

Love,

Shelly & Lacey

Dear Shelly,

I am so sorry you had to read that "comment" by a person who does not have enough courage to leave their name. You don't give that person another thought. Keep your energy focused on Lacey.

I had the best evening tonight. I picked up Axel Hugo for dinner and a get well soon card making party for Lacey at Dawn Nichols's house. Dawn covered her dining table and let Haley, Sydney and Axel have at the contact paper, markers and glitter glue. They had so much fun making their card for Lacey, Mike and you. There was a lot of love and good wishes in that room tonight for your family. Being with them and listening to their concerns was important. You all are on their minds.

I will bring the cards when I visit you next week.

I have more good news for you too. My Mom has made Lacey a beautiful batik quilt so she can cuddle in her bed. My Mom is 88 years old. She learned the art of quilting from her Grandmother who came cross the Prairie in the 1800's in a covered wagon to settle in Illinois. I hope it arrives so I can bring it with me...

I send you and Lacey my love. I am looking forward to hugging you soon.

Marcia

Hi Shelly, Lacey, and Mike

Good to read about the good progress in therapy. It won't be long before Lacey is jumping up and down on her bed agian. Auntie Liz called me today and gave me all the good news on your progress Lacey. She said you are a real trooper. Keep up the good work so you can go home to your own bed. Many hugs and thoughts your way. Rosie B.

Hi Shelly and Lacey!

I just wanted to let you know that I am checking another blog that was sent to me for prayers and I am finding it very encouraging. The Dad is claiming and holding 100% RECOVERY which is what we are claiming and praying for Lacey! If you want to check it out, it is www.alliecagen.blogspot.com.

Emily and Brianna were going to go fishing in Daniel's little skiff today - pretty soon you can join them! Emily insists the best bait is bacon since that is what she caught her huge halibut on. If they actually got a big bite in that little skiff, the fish would probably pull them to Oregon! But, then they could visit you, so it's all good.

Hugs and Prayers from us! The Eichners
