I just spoke to Shelly this morning. She had good news. Lacey's ventilator has been removed and she did well. The pneumonia has not progressed and she is getting a very small amount of movement in her right shoulder area. See, our prayers are working. Thank-you so much.
Shelly said Mike's sister Cheri just arrived, so she will be some added support for a few days.
The nurses commented on how polite Lacey is. Shelly sounds much better and stronger this morning.

Ed and I want you to know that we are thinking of you and we are praying for Lacey's full recovery. You all are constantly on our minds. We so much appreciate Liz's communications and updates on your progress. The blog is so helpful to everyone who loves you and that is a lot of people!! We all anxiously await the next post. Each bit of progress brings a sense of hope and relief. We know in our hearts that Lacey will be ok. She just has a long, tough road ahead. She has so many people who love her and there is nothing more powerful than love and prayers. They can not be defeated.
Ed will be in Portland on 6/4 and 6/5 so he will see you soon. I will be in Portland for a corporate meeting on 6/13 to 20. I will see you on 6/14 if it is convenient for you to have a visitor.
Derby update:
Ed, Aaron Worthy and Casey Stokes just took off for Cow creek for a morning of steelhead fishing then Derby fishing. Ed, Andrew and Aaron fished all day Saturday. They caught one salmon, a rock cod and a ling. It is slow right now. Ed is fishing for Lacey by the way, all through the Derby. He told me if he wins all proceeds will go to the Dunns....well, its a long shot to win but a nice gesture. Terry says the same and now Jedd wants in on the action. He says Toribio has competition since he is coming to town. They also are all committed to putting fish in your freezer. They want to make sure Lacey has good food to eat when she returns home.

I think of you three all of the time. Lacey, I wear a prayer box necklace where I put the names of people who need prayers sent to them; you are now included with those special people. Lacey, I remember your sweet disposition and caring soul directed towards my sons...you will make it as the gift you give to others is unique. We don't know why we are given the challenges we receive, but they do make us stronger. Shelly & Mike, if there is anything I can do, please have Liz call me.
